AUGUSTA (AP) – Sheriff Randall Liberty says an inmate death at the Kennebec County jail appears to be a case of suicide.

Liberty says 32-year-old Arthur Traweek was found hanging by a sheet at 3:20 p.m. Monday. He says the body was found by another inmate. Liberty says Traweek was in jail for allegedly violating his probation and unauthorized use of property.
