Livermore Falls Water District Superintendent Doug Burdo, left, Jay Sewer Department plant treatment operator Alfred Richards and Superintendent Mark Holt get training on a global positioning system Thursday morning from Bill Treadwell, right, of Maine Technical Source. The men’s eyes were watering as they walked down Depot Street in Livermore Falls in 8-degrees, not factoring wind chill, as they entered information. The Water District and Sewer Department have jointly purchased the GPS system and will share it, Burdo said. It will be used to locate sewer and water lines among other items.
