WESTMORELAND, N.H. (AP) – A Unity, N.H., man has died in a snowmobile accident.

The crash happened Saturday afternoon on a groomed trail in Westmoreland. Authorities say Richard Petrain, 37, rounded a sharp corner at 45 to 50 mph and lost control of the snowmobile, crashing into a tree.

Investigators say speed and inexperience may have played a role.
