VASSALBORO (AP) – The newest group of Maine police officers begins training at the Maine Criminal Justice Academy in Vassalboro.
Director John Rogers says 55 new officers, including four prospective state troopers, are expected the first day Tuesday. The class will graduate May 22.
This is the 16th group of officers to undergo training since the academy in Vassalboro opened in 2000, replacing the old academy that had been located in Waterville.
