Workshop
LEWISTON – The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope and Healing will host “Caring for Your Bones When You Have Multiple Myeloma,” a telephone education workshop for people living with cancer. It will be held from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28.
The program is free and participants may join in at the Dempsey Center or listen at home. It will be presented by national experts and offered by CancerCare Inc.

Upcoming telephone workshops include “Caring for Your Bones When You Have Breast Cancer,” 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20, and “Balancing Cancer and Careers: Living and Working with Cancer,” 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday, March 12.
Marines meeting
AUBURN – The Central Maine Detachment 810, Marine Corps League, will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 29, at the William J. Rogers Post 153, American Legion, 71 South Main St., New Auburn (use side door on Cook Street).
Plans for the year will be discussed, including the organization of a Marine color guard. Other ideas are welcome. Marines and corpsmen are also invited to attend.
