HARRISON – Stephen J. McHugh, 65, of Charlestown, Mass., passed away Jan. 25 in Harrison.

He was the beloved husband of Beverly (Smith) McHugh for 27 years and brother of Elizabeth E. McHugh (husband William Ladouceur) of Orinda, Calif., and Richard M. McHugh of Saugus, Mass. He was the loving uncle of Eric, Michael and Katie Ladouceur.

He graduated from Tufts University and received a master’s degree in city planning/transportation from the University of Cincinnati.

He served in Vietnam and Japan in the U.S. Navy Seabees. After starting his engineering career at Gannett Fleming Inc. of Harrisburg, Pa., he moved to Massport, where he was a project manager for more than 25 years.
