RIVERSIDE, Calif. (AP) – A judge says jurors in the trial of a California man accused of setting a deadly wildfire will get to see photos of a flame tattoo on his arm.

Raymond Lee Oyler’s attorney said he was concerned jurors might see the tattoo photos and conclude his client is an arsonist. But a judge ruled Thursday that the jury could see four photos of Oyler’s left arm.

The 38-year-old Oyler is accused of setting the October 2006 fire that killed five U.S. Forest Service firefighters in the San Jacinto Mountains, about 90 miles east of Los Angeles.

Police: Sister beats up bride at party

HEBRON, Ind. (AP) – A woman who wasn’t invited to her sister’s wedding reception showed up anyway and attacked the bride, pulling out clumps of her hair, police said.

Annmarie Bricker, 23, of Valparaiso, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of battery.

Jeremy Glotzbach told police he was hosting a reception for newlyweds Nicholas Landry and Lori Kappes at his home on Jan. 23 when Bricker, Kappes’ sister, attacked Kappes on the front porch.

Bricker pulled out clumps of Kappes’ hair, struck her head and took the bride to the ground during a struggle, according to the Porter County Sheriff’s Department.

Bart’s ‘voice’ on Scientology call

NEW YORK (AP) – Bart Simpson is known for prank calls, but Nancy Cartwright, who provides Bart’s voice on “The Simpsons,” has been heard this week in a phone message using the voice of the cartoon fourth-grader to promote Scientology.

Cartwright, long a member of the church, recorded her 60-second robocall to boost attendance at a Scientology event scheduled for Saturday.

Although she identifies herself, much of the spiel is delivered in Bart’s voice, wrapping up with, “See you there, man!” “Simpsons” executive producer Al Jean said the message wasn’t authorized by the show.

which has never “endorsed any religion, philosophy or system of beliefs any more profound than Butterfinger bars.”
