SABATTUS – Victor J. LaCourse, 70, of Lake Street, Sabattus, died Sunday, Feb. 1, unexpectedly at his home.

He was born in Lewiston, on July 6, 1938, a son of the late Joseph and Rose (Jutras) LaCourse. For most of his working years, he was a self-employed sheet rocker. He was known for his hard work, and his willingness to help family and friends. He was a member of the Eagles and American Legion Post 135 in Sabattus. He loved to fish and hunt, but most of all enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his great-niece and nephews, Gage, Shyann and Stephen Pessant.

He leaves three sisters, Claire Delehanty, Janet Pessant and Linda LaCourse, all of Lewiston; a brother, Conrad LaCourse, also of Lewiston; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by three sisters, Connie Beaudoin, Muriel Michaud and Arline LaCourse; and a brother, Lucien (Joseph) LaCourse.
