YORK – Ruth E. Hall, 72, of Biddeford, died at the York Manor Jan. 30, after a long illness.

She was born in Bethel, on Oct. 22, 1936, the daughter of the late Norman and Lettie Hall and was educated in Bethel schools, graduating from Gould Academy, where she was very involved in the musical programs. She was an excellent pianist. Immediately from high school, she worked for an automotive company in Portland and then in banking for a time.

She is survived by one sister, Barbara Parker of South Portland; one brother, Quentin Hall and his wife, Gloria, of Auburn; and four nieces.

She was predeceased by her parents; a brother, Bradley; and a sister, Muriel.
