LEWISTON – Advocates for Children will offer “Responding to Child Abuse,” from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Thursdays, Feb. 26 through May 21, at the B Street Community Center, 57 Birch St., Suite 204.

It is a 45-hour course for educators, child care professionals and others who work with children. The course provides participants the opportunity to learn more about current child abuse and neglect issues from professionals that present topics in their fields of expertise.

Topics will include the legal system, protecting children online, medical perspectives of child abuse and neglect and more.
