LEWISTON – Sara Marden scored a hat trick and Marisa Zamrock added a pair of goals to lead Lewiston to an 8-0 victory over Winslow in the Eastern Maine girls’ hockey semifinals Saturday at the Colisee.

Zamrock and Marden scored both scored twice in the first period to enable the Blue Devils (16-1-2) to open up a 4-0 lead. Zamrock opened the scoring with an unassisted tally at 1:49 before Marden scored her first at 5:32 from Zamrock and Courtney Vallee.

Michelle Rancourt and Mariah Conway scored 14 seconds apart in the second period, while Emilie Cloutier and Marden rounded out the scoring in the final period. Also earning assists were Marden, Cloutier, Conway, Briana Langelier, Katie Cobb, Olivia Cote and Kristen Lacasse.

Stephanie Belanger was credited with the shutout in the Lewiston goal.

Lewiston will play for the Eastern regional championships on Wednesday at the Portland Ice Arena against the winner of Greely and St. Dom’s.

The first Maine Principals’ Association’s sponsored state championship is scheduled for next Saturday at the Colisee.
