PERU – Christine L. Wing Sterry, 31, of Peru, died unexpectedly, Monday, Feb. 9, in Peru.

She was born on July 31, 1977, in Lewiston, the daughter of Danny and Mary Lou (Dolloff) Wing. She attended Peru and Dixfield schools.

She recently moved back to her home in Peru from the Howland area, where she had been living for the past five years, and was currently working at Jardens in East Wilton.

She enjoyed playing softball and field hockey in school and will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor and willingness to speak her mind.

She is survived by her parents, Danny and Mary Lou Wing of Peru; her children, Michaela Wing Ryerson, Tyler Sterry and Alyssa Sterry, all of Peru; a sister, Angela Calden and her children, John Lyle and Lauren, all of Dixfield; a brother, Jason Wing and his wife, Amanda and their children, Valarie and Vanessa, all of Fort Rucker, Ala.; maternal grandparents, Richard and Pat Dolloff of Peru; Christine’s children’s father, Doug Sterry of Newport; many other extended family members including aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Kay Phillips and Donald Wing; and great-grandmothers, Ada Vaughn and Ethel Cooper.
