COOPERS MILLS – Everett H. “Hipe” Frost Jr., 85, a former resident of Carver Road, Monmouth, died Tuesday, Feb. 10, at Country Manor Nursing Home.

He was born on June 17, 1923, in Augusta, and was the son of the late Everett H. and Emily (Taylor) Frost. He attended schools in Monmouth and had been self-employed as a handyman.

Hipe enjoyed attending to the farm animals while in Monmouth, and carried that love of animals with him to Coopers Mills, as he never missed the Windsor Fair, especially the livestock exhibition, and as usual, wherever he went, he knew someone from Monmouth.

He attended SELF Program at Goodwill in Augusta, where he participated in community trips, and always loved a good piece of cake at the birthday parties. He enjoyed music, attending Sunday services, telling tall tales, going to the post office, and a warm summer day. He will be missed by all those who cared for him over the years, his many friends at SELF, and all those friends he leaves behind, especially Ed, who will miss him most of all.
