LEWISTON – Mary Lou Fournier, 74, of Prospect Avenue in Rumford, died early Monday, Feb. 9, at Central Maine Medical Center after a brief illness

She was born in Rumford, on Nov. 24, 1934, the daughter of Leo and Theresa (Clifford) Duguay. She attended Rumford schools and was a graduate of Stephens High School, Class of 1952. She was employed in payroll jobs early in her life.

She married Aime L. Fournier on Dec. 27, 1954, and together raised seven children.

She worked at the service desk at the Mammoth Mart for 10 years. The majority of her adult life was spent as a homemaker raising her seven children. She enjoyed traveling, reading, visiting with her many children and grandchildren and quietly watching ocean waves.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Aime L. Fournier; their seven children, Cynthia “Cindy” Shaw, Donna Frisoli, Norman Fournier, Janet Curato and husband, Tim, Barbara Gallant and husband, Rick, Michael “Mike” Fournier and wife, Lorinda and Thomas “Tom” Fournier and wife, Dianna; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a sister, Beverly Mann and husband, Michael; and two brothers, Ronald Duguay and wife, Isabelle and Richard Duguay and wife, Jean.
