AUBURN – University of Maine Cooperative Extension has scheduled the 15th annual Maine Garden Day on Saturday, March 28, at Central Maine Community College. The event will feature more than 35 gardening workshops from local gardening experts.
In addition, there will be a trade show with educational displays, and plants, seeds and tools will be available for purchase.
New workshops this year will include: “Garden Sculpture You Can Make,” “Growing Sweet Potatoes in the North,” “Getting More From the Vegetable Garden,” “Pruning Berry Bushes and Grapevines,” “Garbage Treasure Hunting,” “Growing Lavender in Maine,” “Raising Poultry on a Small Scale” and “Introduction to Root Cellaring.”

The first 350 registrations will be accepted. The cost is $50, which includes breakfast, lunch and all workshops.
