LEWISTON – Women, Work and Community, a statewide nonprofit organization, is offering a free workshop, “Introduction To Self-Employment,” on Feb. 19 from 9 a.m. to noon at USM’s Lewiston-Auburn College. The three-hour workshop will be offered again on March 4 at the same location.

The workshop will walk attendees through the pros and cons of owning a business, showing how to get started, pointing out major elements of a business plan, introduce local resources, and help people decide if self employment is the right choice.
