Sumner – “Hap” Gallin, 81 of Sumner, died Feb. 14, at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborogh.

He was born in Patchogue, N.Y., on Feb. 27, 1927, the son of James and Fanny (Fagan) Gallin and was educated in New York schools and graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School in 1945, and from Champlain College in 1950.

Hap served in the U.S. Army from May 1945 thru October 1946, having served in Germany.

After graduating from college, Hap followed the rodeo circuit as an active bronco rider from 1950 to 1956.

He later had worked as a salesman in industrial sales.

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, S. Ginger Gallin of Sumner; one daughter, Carole Wolfe of New York, N.Y., as well as many other relatives and friends.
