HEBRON – The Hebron Academy Players will present “Once on this Island,” a musical by Lynn Ahrens and Michael Flaherty, Friday and Saturday, Feb. 27-28, at Androscoggin Theater.
The 7:30 p.m. performance in the theater in Sargent Memorial Gymnasium is free and open to the public.
“Once on this Island” is a lively tale that takes place on a Caribbean Island where a beautiful peasant girl falls in love with a handsome grandhomme, under the watchful eyes of the gods. The island community comes to terms with its traditions and prejudices to resolve this timeless story of acceptance and community.
The show is directed by Julie Middleton, with musical direction by Beth Barefoot.
