LEWISTON – The Central Maine Detachment, Marine Corps League, will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb 26, in Room A at the Multi-Purpose Center, 145 Birch St. The location of the meeting has changed to accommodate members who can no longer climb stairs.
Business will be discussed, including the upcoming quad convention. Room reservations for the convention must be made in advance. A light snack will follow the meeting.
Grand family
AUBURN – Pine Cone Chapter 26, Order of the Eastern Star, will host the Grand Family at 1:30p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, at at the Masonic Hall, 1021 Turner St.
The Grand Officers of Maine will perform the degree work.

Workshop series
LISBON FALLS – “Recipe to Market,” a series of workshops for those interested in starting a specialty food or value-added business, will be offered by the University of Maine Cooperative Extension.
The workshops will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays, in April, at the Androscoggin and Sagadahoc Counties office, 24 Main St.
Jim McConnon, business and economics specialist, and Beth Calder, food science specialist, will contribute to the sessions. Local business owners, tax, legal and other professionals will also contribute. Enrollment is limited to 15. The cost for the series is $25.
