Attention! Attention! The results of February Artist of the Month are in! In eighth grade Letavian Sands received the Artist of the Month from Mrs. Kate Myrand for his mask. Mrs. Myrand said his mask was “big, colorful, and very unique.” Letavian really enjoyed doing hands-on activities and he had a lot of fun in art class.

The other lucky winner was seventh grader April Michel. Mrs.Kay Allison chose her for her color still-life drawing. “Art class inspires people to become artists, and that’s what it does for me,” is what April said when she was asked how she feels about art class. Mrs. Allison said, “April is a very dedicated student and she works well in a variety of mediums.”
