WATERFORD – The town’s approximately 1,100 voters shouldn’t have a tough time filling out their municipal election ballots on Friday. There are only two candidates on it.

H. Sawin Millett is seeking another term as town moderator. The position is elected for one meeting only.

Political newcomer Richard Hunt of Blackguard Road, who works as an accountant, is seeking the three-year selectman’s seat being vacated by Norman Rust, who chose not to run for re-election because of health reasons. There are no contests.

“Every third year we have more (candidates) on the ballot,” said Town Clerk Brenda Bigonski of the rotating terms of local officials.

Voting will take place in the Waterford Municipal Building from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday.

Action on articles three though 66 of the town meeting warrant will continue at 9 a.m. March 7 in the municipal building.
