LEWISTON – Marianne R. Pelletier, 81, of Stevens Street, passed away on Sunday, March 8, at her home with family by her side.

She was born in Lisbon, April 4, 1927, the daughter of the late Napoleon and Laura Gamache Pinette. She was educated in Lisbon schools and was married May 26, 1945, to Donat A. Pelletier at St. Anne’s Church in Lisbon. Donat passed away March 13, 1998.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed for 35 years at Geiger Bros. She was a longtime and active member of Holy Cross Church and enjoyed gardening, making arts and crafts and was an accomplished seamstress.

She is survived by four daughters, Cecile Pelletier of Lewiston, Monique Begin and husband, Jerry, of Lewiston, Suzanne Fortin and husband, David, of Monmouth and Diane Pelletier of Talence, France; four sons, Richard Pelletier and wife, Jewel, of Litchfield, Roger Pelletier and wife, Rose, of Lewiston, Michael Pelletier and wife, Despina, of Indiana, and David Pelletier and wife, Pamela of Vasselboro; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Florida Chartier and husband, William, of Texas; in-laws, Christiane Veilleux of Lewiston, Louis Pelletier and wife, Claire, of California, Florence Lajoie and husband, Robert of Florida, Ross Pelletier of Illinois, Lucille Pelletier of Indiana, and Jeanne d’Arc Pelletier of New Hampshire; and many nieces and nephews.
