SOUTH PARIS – Mark Bancroft, chief executive officer of Bancroft Contracting Corporation of South Paris, was elected president of the Associated General Contractors of Maine at AGC’s 58th annual meeting. Bancroft succeeds Loren Clarke, who served as president last year.

A 1994 graduate of the construction management technology program in the School of Engineering Technology at the University of Maine, Bancroft began working full time for Bancroft Contracting in 1995. Previously, he had worked in different parts of the company during his high school and college days.

Over the years he has served as a project manager, human resources manager, operations manager, vice president of operations, and president. He is an owner of the company.

A resident of South Paris , Bancroft serves on the board of trustees of the local water and sewer district, and on the board of the CMT Industrial Advisory Council at the University of Maine in Orono. He is also a member of the Education Foundation of AGC Maine.
