BATH (AP) – The second-largest union at Bath Iron Works has given its approval to a new contract.

The Bath Marine Draftsmen’s UAW Local 3999 approved a 54-month deal with the shipbuilder over the weekend by a vote of 374-124.

Union president Denny Furrow says he the contract is a good one for the union’s 835 members.

The shipyard has about 5,600 employees in total.
