AUBURN – A celebration of life service honoring the life of Patty McKenzie-Baril was held Friday from the Memorial Chapel of Dillingham & Son with the Rev. Casey Collins presiding.

The service began with the song, “Remember Me This Way.” Then poems were read by Patty’s siblings, Sheila Morrison and Rodney McKenzie, as well as Patty’s niece, Jamie Simpson. The song “There Ain’t No Mountain High Enough,” which was also played in her honor, was a favorite singalong song of Patty’s on her trips to Monhegan Island.

Words of remembrance were shared by Patty’s close friend, Terry Turner. In closing, the Rev. Collins recited an old Indian poem which preceded the song “Spirit in the Sky” to conclude services. Then all in attendance were invited to greet Patty’s family with their own personal condolence. Arrangements by Dillingham & Son Memorial Chapel.
