DURHAM – The Board of Directors for the new Durham-Freeport-Pownal school system will receive the proposed budget at 8 a.m. Saturday, March 28, in the Freeport High School library. The meeting is scheduled to last until 1 p.m.
Other meeting dates for budget deliberations are April 8, 15 and 29 at 6:30 p.m. in the Freeport High School library, with opportunity for public input.
The board is expected to approve the budget on May 13.
The first budget meeting for residents of the towns is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. May 27at Freeport High School. At that time, residents will vote to approve the 11-article budget warrant.
The actual referendum to approve the budget is set for June 2 in each of the three towns.
