BETHEL – Emma B. Page, 84, of Bethel, died Tuesday, March 24.
She was born in Bethel, on April 18, 1924, the daughter of Roy C. Blake and Dorothy (Glines) Blake, was educated in local schools, graduated from Gould Academy and attended Northeastern Business College and the University of Maine.
She attended the Bethel United Methodist Church and was a member of the Bethel Senior Citizens. She had worked as a secretary/receptionist in Portland and some local businesses and owned and operated Emma’s Beauty Salon since 1961. She later worked at Ledgeview Nursing Home for seven years and most recently worked private duty care, prior to retiring.
She is survived by one son, Dr. Gary Page and his wife, Dr. Ida Page, of Mechanicsburg, Pa.; one daughter, Karen Page of South Paris; five grandchildren, Melinda Lowe and husband, Eric, of Lancaster Pa., Sharon Armstrong and husband, Steve, of Tarpon Springs, Fla., Dr. Michelle Momose and her husband, Jared, of Warwick, R.I., Melissa Cooper and husband, Dave, of Piedmont, S.C., and Sarah Page of West Paris; eight great-grandchildren; and a devoted sister-in-law, Patricia Blake of Bethel.
She was predeceased by her parents; and two brothers, Harlan Carroll Blake in 1947 and Charles Blake in 2007.
