When Charles Frohman presents Miss Ethel Barrymore at the Empire Theatre this evening in “Lady Frederick,” local theatregoers will have the opportunity of seeing the play that New York has raved over for the greater part of the current season. It is a comedy in three acts by W. Somerset Maugham with the scenes laid in Monte Carlo. As Lady Frederick, Miss Barrymore has scored the notable hit of her career. Charles Frohman has supplied a supporting company of rare merit including Bruce McRae.

Three Auburn physicians, Dr. Henry C. Thacher, Dr. Dorothy Anderson and Dr. Ralph A. Goodwin Sr., are to participate next Saturday morning in the clinic sponsored by the Auburn Health Department, for immunization against whooping cough, diphtheria and tetanus, and vaccination against smallpox.
Mrs. Shirley Schneider, health officer, reported approximately 150 persons have signed up for each of the clinics which will start at 9 a.m. Saturday. With the relatively small number registered, Mrs. Schneider said she did not expect it will take long to give the immunizations and vaccinations.

The Auburn-Lewiston Municipal Airport board of directors will be given an update of work on the airport’s master plan Wednesday.
Don Cress of Cress & Associates Inc., an aviation consulting firm, gave airport officials a glum forecast in January with the prediction that the airport’s future in passenger airline service is dim. Cress recommended Auburn concentrate on attracting commuter traffic to serve area businesses.
On Wednesday Cress will give his preliminary recommendations on the airport layout and what alternatives are available.
