LEWISTON – Mildred Dee Richardson, 82, of Lewiston, formerly of Ocean House Road, Cape Elizabeth, died Thursday, March 19, at Montello Manor.

She was born on March 18, 1927, in Madawaska, a daughter of Joseph Denis and Cora (Michaud) Albert, attended local schools and was a 1945 graduate of Madawaska High School. She moved to Portland after graduation and went on to earn her nursing degree from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in 1948.

She worked as a registered nurse at Mercy Hospital from 1948 to 1966, and then as a private duty nurse from 1967 to 1976, when she retired. On Oct. 23, 2004, she married John T. Richardson in Lewiston.

She was a former communicant of Holy Cross Church and also was a long-time communicant of St. Bartholomew Church. She was a member of the Mercy Hospital Alumni and was a proud member of Alcoholics Anonymous since 1974.

She is survived by her husband of Lewiston; her children, daughters, Mrs. Robert (Patricia) Lee of Turner, Mrs. Charles (Jacqueline) Krebs of Waukesha, Wisc., and Mrs. Michael (Denise) Beckwith of North Windham; sons, Robert M. Dee and his wife, Theresa, of South Portland, Michael J. Dee of North Windham and Richard A. Dee and his wife, Susan, of Jay; two sisters, Giselle Sullivan and her husband, Phil, of Walpole, Mass., and Rena Wallcott of Framingham, Mass.; 16 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Sister Solange Albert and Gloria Thompson; and two brothers, Everett and Carlton Albert.
