They were among 160 Auburn elementary schoolteachers who attended an all-day technology workshop at Park Avenue Elementary School on Friday. The workshop was sponsored by Discovery Education Streaming under the guidance of Dennis Swain, regional “den” representative from Discovery Education. Teachers learned how to use technology to support student learning in innovate ways such as digital storytelling with closed captions and the use of a Jeopardy game. Swain told the teachers that the new technology is important. “Our students don’t just use media, they interact with it,” he said.
