Task force meeting

NORWAY – The Oxford County Domestic Violence Task Force meeting will take place on Wednesday, April 1, at the Norway Town Office. It will feature the Rape Education and Crisis Hotline in recognition of April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

Representatives from REACH will talk about the organization’s programs, education in the school efforts and the annual Speak Out event.

The public is welcome to attend. The May meeting will feature transportation issues and options.

Nickel beano

DIXFIELD – Neighborly Senior Citizens will sponsor a nickel beano on Wednesday, April 1, at the Dixfield Legion.

Doors will open at 12:30 p.m., followed by nickel beano from 1 to 2:30 p.m. All are welcome.

Lodge to meet

CANTON – Whitney Lodge 167, AF and AM, will hold a stated meeting at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 2. The meeting will be preceded by a casserole supper at 6:30. All Master Masons are welcome.

Seniors meeting

BETHEL – The Bethel Senior Citizens Club meeting and luncheon will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, at the American Legion Hall in Locke Mills.

Luncheon will consist of ham, mashed potato, peas, carrots, coleslaw, rolls and dessert. Price is $9. Entertainment will be the Banjo Band.

Class luncheon

MEXICO – The Mexico High School Class of 1948 will hold a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, at the Route 2 Diner.

Maundy Thursday

RUMFORD – A Maundy Thursday service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 9, at the Rumford Point Congregational Church, led by Pastor Sondra Withey.

A sunrise service will be held at the Locke Mills Union Church on Sunday, April 12, with an Easter breakfast following. Everyone is welcome.

A joint Easter service between Rumford Point Congregational Church and the Locke Mills Union Church will be held at 9 a.m. Sunday, April 12, at Locke Mills. It will be led by Pastor Sondra Withey. Everyone is welcome.

Circle to meet

RUMFORD – St. Timothy Circle 504, Daughters of Isabella, will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, at the Holy Savior Church hall.

The committee members are Chairwoman Pat Gautreau, Jane Giasson, Priscilla Marquis, Marjorie Brown, Kay Lawler and Theresa Vaillancourt.

Seeking vendors

RUMFORD – “Uncle Frank” is looking for vendors to sell antiques, collectibles and other wares at “Uncle Frank’s” flea market. The flea market will run every Saturday from May 30 until Sept. 6 in the parking lot of Maine Made Furniture, Route 2, East Rumford. For more information, call “Uncle Frank” at 364-2038.
