SCARBOROUGH – Bruce H. Day, 72, passed away peacefully at the home of his daughter and son-in-law on March 27.

He was born in Porter, on Oct. 18, 1936, the son of Leroy and Viola (Miller) Day. He attended grade school in Kezar Falls and graduated from Paris High School in 1956. He graduated from Buterra School of Art in Boston and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Air Force. He was also a member of the Mechanic Falls American Legion Post 150.

In 1964, he married the former Sally Mills and they lived in Otisfield for several years, before moving to South Paris. He was owner of Western Maine Graphics and most recently worked for Penmore Lithographers in Lewiston.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sally; daughter, Darcy Foerster; son-in-law, Doug; two awesome grandchildren, Lucas and Kacey; his sisters, Minerva (Mrs. John) Morgan of Norway, Marion (Mrs. Franklyn) Rivers of Oxford, Natalie (Mrs. Robert) Roakes of Oxford and Mrs. Ethelyn Taylor of Paris; brothers, David Day of Norway, Roger Day of South Rumford and Merton Day of Mt. Vernon, Ind.; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents; one sister, Dorothy Day; and a brother, Arnold Day.
