SOUTH PARIS – Elisha Hodgkins, 51, died at Market Square Health Care Center on Thursday, March 26.

He was born Dec. 20, 1957, in Rumford, to Gladys Hodgkins Chartier and was the beloved grandson of Alfred Hodgkins Sr. and Henrietta Hodgkins Barker.

A 1976 graduate of Oxford Hills High School, he served in the Norway Fire Department and Norway Town Office for many years and in his spare time, could often be found deep in laughter and conversation at Shaner’s Restaurant in South Paris. Later in life, he became a fan of the Internet and loved making deals on eBay.

He is survived by his sisters, Rickysue Chartier of Peacham, Vt., Elizabeth “Chris” Larocque of Barton, Vt., Madeline “Mickey” Antonucci of Lyndonville, Vt., Alberta Colby and her husband, Kevin, of Waterford, Vt., and Lydia Chartier of St. Johnsbury, Vt.; and his cousins, Vic Hodgkins of South Paris and Alfred Hodgkins III of Lewiston.

He was predeceased by his mother and grandparents; and a sister, Renee Goss of Barton, Vt.
