DIXFIELD – The following incidents were handled by Dixfield police recently.

Marijuana charge

Jonathan Spaulding, 22, Carthage, lost control of his 1992 Ford Explorer while driving north on Route 142 at about 1:30 a.m. March 29. The vehicle went over a snowbank and stopped a half mile from the Carthage line. It was discovered by Sgt. Jeff Howe at 7:45 a.m., along with a small amount of marijuana.

Spaulding was charged with possessing a useable amount of marijuana and is to appear in Rumford District Court on May 5.

Weapon confiscated

Brass knuckles brought to Dirigo High School by a teenage boy were confiscated by school administrators after someone reported them March 26. No charge was filed.

Theft

A Coburn Avenue woman reported the theft of temporary registration plates from her vehicle at 7:30 p.m. March 30. The vehicle was parked at her home.
