MESA, Ariz. – Roland J. Tancrede, 86, of 333 East Sixth St., Mesa, Ariz., died Monday evening, March 30, at Mesa Regional Medical Center.

Born in Lewiston on Jan. 6, 1923, the son of Josephat and Bernadette Tancrede, he had been a resident of Mesa, Ariz., for the past 41 years. While living in this community he had been a member of Holy Family Parish.

Survivors include one son, Robert of Lewiston; six daughters, Rita Tancrede of Kingman, Ariz., Therese Montoya, Irene Messinger and Suzanne Howard, all of Mesa, Ariz, Georgette Cruze of Phoenix, Ariz., and Rose Ceton of Chandler, Ariz.; two sisters, Laurette Audibert and Cecile Forgues and one sister-in-law, Loraine Tancrede, all of Lewiston; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, Irma (Aube) Tancrede whom he married on Sept. 25, 1943; and one son, Richard Tancrede.
