GARDINER – Blues band The Mojo Matics will perform Friday, April 10, as part of the Sounds Good! Music Live series at Johnson Performing Arts Center.

The Mojo Matics play old Chicago-style and urban blues, with a wailing harmonica. Band members are Mike Hayward, guitar/vocals; Mike Van Summern, electric bass; Mike Murphy, drums; and Tom O’Connell, harmonica/vocals. Hayward has played with Ray Charles and Buddy Guy.

The Mojo Matics have played at blues festivals and clubs around Maine for years.

The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $12, $4 for students with ID. Call Johnson Hall at 582-7144 or e-mail info@johnsonhall.org.
