SOUTH PORTLAND – U.S. Cellular announces that it has recently promoted Darrell Caron to area sales manager for southern Maine. Caron’s responsibilities will include overall supervision of more than six retail locations, including stores in Auburn and South Paris. Working with more than 60 associates, Caron will provide leadership and development of the store managers, while growing U.S. Cellular’s business, and driving customer service at the retail locations.

Caron started his career with U.S. Cellular in 2006. Most recently, Caron served as U.S. Cellular’s associate relations manager for its northern New England market. He has more than 10 years of experience in human resources, including five years in the telecommunications industry.

He lives in Gorham.
