Students at Martel Elementary School in Lewiston watch as a container housing an egg is dropped from a second-floor window on Thursday. The fourth- and sixth-grade classes were participating in the 16th annual Egg Drop, in which students create an egg container that can withstand a drop from the rooftop. The event is designed to inspire creativity and to offer a fun Easter season activity.
