SEYMOUR, CONN. – Gary Lee Thibeault, 58, passed away on April 8, at his home, surrounded by family and friends.

He was born May 29, 1950, in Rumford, to the late Joseph Thibeault Sr. and Dorothy Daigle Thibeault Charznowski and attended local schools, until moving to Connecticut.

He married Linda Bean of Hanover. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, where he received a Purple Heart. He worked at Sikorsky Aircraft for 37 years and he was also a long-time girls’ softball Little League coach.

In addition to his devoted wife, he is survived by three daughters, Michele Thibeault of Nangatuck, Jolene Thibeault of Terryville and Nichole Thibeault Thompson of Nangatuck; five grandchildren, Desirea Duda, Chantel Thibeault, William Thompson, Jayden Thibeault and Russell and Kylie Pereira; two brothers, Joseph Thibeault Jr. of Mexico and Wayne Thibeault of South Portland; two sisters, Gail Boboc of Nangatuck, Conn., and Evangeline Andrews of Kissimmee, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Thibeault; and sisters, Joanne Holt and Janet Bernard.
