WARWICK, R.I. (AP) – Police say a woman held at gunpoint in an attempted robbery at a Warwick hotel tipped them to a possible link to a fatal Boston attack by suggesting the crimes were similar.

Police said the suspects also have matching descriptions: a clean-cut white man, six feet tall with blond hair and medium build.

Warwick Police Chief Stephen McCartney said Friday that his department is working with Boston police to see if the same man attacked both women.

A 26-year-old Las Vegas resident was attacked and bound Thursday after advertising massage services on Craigslist.

The assailant fled after the woman’s husband returned to the room.

Earlier this week, Julissa Brisman was shot and killed at a Boston hotel by a man she met after advertising massage services on Craigslist.
