LEWISTON – Marguerite E. Sirois, 91, of 102 Campus Ave., Lewiston, and formerly of the Chapman House in Auburn, died peacefully on Saturday, April 18, at D’Youville Pavilion with her nieces by her side.

She was born in Lewiston on Aug. 11, 1917, the daughter of Alfred and Clara (Nadeau) Pruneau and had been a resident of this community all of her life.

She was married to Benoit J. Sirois in 1950, and he died on March 25, 1992.

She was employed at Clark Shoe for 15 years and the last 14 years prior to her retirement in 1984, she worked at St. Mary’s Hospital in the kitchen as a food preparer.

Marguerite was a parishioner of Holy Cross Church, a member of the VFW Post 1603 of Auburn, and a member of ACA.

She is survived by one brother, Roger Pruneau of Lewiston; one nephew, Dennis Pruneau; three nieces, Irene MacDougall, Jane Cyr and Mona Lamb; and one sister-in-law, Valencia Cody.
