LEWISTON – Beverly E. Beaulieu, 82, died Thursday, April 23, at Marshwood Center surrounded by her family after a brief illness. She had made her residence in East Livermore for many years and later with her daughter, Roberta and son-in-law, Donald in Fayette, and most recently at Schooner Estates in Auburn.

She was born on July 2, 1926, in Livermore Falls, the daughter of Carleton M. and Bertha R. (Thorne) Bailey. In 1944, she graduated valedictorian of her class at Livermore Falls High School and furthered her education at Colby College, earning her degree in chemistry in 1948. On July 22, 1948, she married Robert R. Beaulieu in Waterville. He passed away on Jan. 16, 1976.

She worked at Livermore Falls Trust Co. as a bookkeeper and was a secretary at Livermore Falls High School. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Livermore Falls, the Livermore Falls Historical Society, American Legion, George Bunten, Unit 10 Auxiliary, and several quilting clubs.

She loved to travel, with one of her most memorable trips being to Spain to visit with her daughter Nancy and son-in-law Stephen; she enjoyed painting with water colors and also liked to attend public suppers with friends.

She especially enjoyed spending time at the family camp in Wayne. She always looked forward to having her favorite food, which was popcorn with real butter.

She is survived by two sons, Brian Beaulieu and his wife, Linda, of Jay and George Beaulieu and his wife, Diane, of Buxton; two daughters and their husbands, Roberta and Donald Simoneau of Fayette and Nancy and Stephen Dalessandro of Lewiston; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband; and her parents.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice and Marshwood Center for their exceptional care of Beverly during her illness.
