Auxiliary benefit
PHILLIPS – The Phillips American Legion Auxiliary will hold a benefit from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, May 2, at the Legion Hall to help sponsor Girls State delegates from Mt. Abram High School.
The Narrow Gauge String Band will perform and light refreshments will be available. Donations will be accepted.

LIVERMORE FALLS – The Livermore Falls-Jay Senior Citizens met at Murray Hall on April 20 with 24 members present.
Chairwoman Shirley Couture opened the meeting with prayer, salute to the flag and a moment of silence for departed members and for the men and women in the armed forces.
Reported on the sick list were Nellie Tidswell, Doris DeMillo and Marylou Legere. It was announced that Marilyn Desoto and Shirley Couture attended the memorial service for Denis and Claudette Morin.
Members were asked to bring items for the Friends Social Club as prizes for games members play. The Seniors donate items each spring.
A Chinese auction was held and it was successful. Blanche Bilodeau and Shirley Couture brought refreshments.
The 50/50 was won by Jean Luciano. The meeting was adjourned and cards and games were played.
