It seems, lately, that every time I turn on the television or pick up the newspaper, the issue of gays and/or gay marriage is being featured. Do we heterosexuals have to have that shoved down our throats every day?
I realize that homosexuals want equal rights, and should have those rights, but those people who believe in the sanctity of marriage, between a man and a woman, shouldn’t have to hear about homosexuality day after day.
I am not saying that gays shouldn’t be able to live their lives the way they want to. It is their choice, and they should not be discriminated against. But I am getting sick of hearing about it.
The gay issue has gone as far as to influence the Miss USA pageant, and that is going too far. There was a gay judge on the panel who should not have been there. He was blatantly biased. If heterosexuals are expected to be unbiased, so should homosexuals.
Gays should continue lobbying to be heard and should fight for equal rights, but in order to have equal rights, we all have to abide by the same rules.
