LEWISTON – The Maine Chapter of the Construction Specifications Institute, a nonprofit construction-related organization, will host a timely seminar on building information modeling on May 5 at the Ramada Convention and Conference Center, Pleasant Street, Lewiston.
This seminar is designed for all facets of the construction industry: owners, facility managers, attorneys, financial institutions, architects, engineers, general contractors, subcontractors and project managers. Registration begins at 8 a.m., with the first session beginning at 9 a.m. The seminar includes four sessions, the last session ending at 4 p.m.
CSI’s national BIM practice group chairman, Robert Weygant, will discuss the growth of building information modeling and the transition from paper-based linear processes to a collaborative digital approach.
BIM application supports the whole project delivery process for the entire lifecycle of facilities.
