MEXICO – The Mexico Police Department recently handled the following incidents.
Arrests
• Michael P. Moore, 25, Sun Valley Circle, Mexico, domestic assault, at 7:43 p.m., May 2, at the Mexico Police Department. He was released from the department on $1,000 unsecured bail. He is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on June 2.
• Susan Jamison, 23, Roxbury Notch, Roxbury, outstanding warrants, at 1:53 p.m., May 2, on Main Street, Mexico. She was released from the Mexico Police Department on $380 cash bail. Court date is unknown.
Thefts
A Cross Street resident reported the theft of an automobile transmission, valued at $250, from his yard at 9:57 p.m. May 5. Police believe someone took the transmission believing it was being discarded because the town is conducting its annual spring cleanup. The return of the transmission will carry no charges.
A customer at the Mexico Laundromat reported the theft of several bath towels, valued at $100, from the dryer. The towels were recovered from a home in Rumford. No charges were made.
