LEWISTON – Melanson Paving recently won its first two games of the season in Elliot Ave. Little League baseball.

Melanson defeated Dube Flower in its opener. Nick Belanger led the offense with three hits, including a grand slam, and six RBIs. Carter Chabot also chipped in a two-run dinger. Austin Wing, Kyle Morin and Devin Harrison all banged out three hits, and Dalton Wing contributed two RBIs.

Belanger threw four solid innings of two-hit ball to gain the win. Isaac Escobar and Eddie Turgeon led the offense for Dube.

In its second game, Melanson knocked off Rowe Auto, 5-1. Belanger once again led the Pavers with three hits, including a home run. Harrison had two hits to help fuel the offense.

Chabot threw a complete game while striking out nine for the victory. Kyle Lemelin led Rowe with two doubles. Brady Cusson pitched four strong innings while striking out seven for Rowe.

Mike Morin’s 16, Dube 1: Mike Morin’s Auto picked up its second straight Elliot Ave. Little League baseball victory, 16-1 over Dube Flower, on the strength of terrific pitching by Nathan Cook and John Sturgis.

Caleb Dostie, Dixon DiLodovico, Luc Dostie and Bryan Bonenfant led the way with the bats.

Dube started out the game with some strong batting from Sean Gagnier and Gage Cote. On the mound for Dube were Jess Sastre and Isaac Escobar.
