AUBURN – Michael Hricko, 89, of Seymour, Conn., entered into rest on Thursday, May 7, at the Hospice House of Auburn. He was the beloved husband of the late Matilda Bomba Hricko.

He was born in Seymour, Conn., on Dec. 5, 1919, son of the late Andreas and Anna Bovnaji Hricko and he was a lifelong resident of the Naugatuck Valley.

He was a machine erector for Farrell Corp. in Ansonia for 43 years until his retirement. He was a charter member of the Great Hill Hose Co. in Seymour and was an active member for many years. He was the loving father of Michael J. Hricko and his wife, Ruth, of Minot. He was a 65-year member of the Grange, and took great enjoyment in gardening and vacationing in Florida, with his wife, Matilda.

Survivors include his sister, Helen Dorosh; grandchildren, Emily, Carolyn and Victoria Hricko; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a daughter, the late Beverly Elizabeth Washburn; her two sons, Jason Peter Markou and Justin Peter Markou; a sister, Mary Stevens; and a brother, George Hricko.
