LEWISTON – A child reportedly fell from a third-story window on Knox Street and broke his leg Saturday night, police said.
Abdikadir Bakar, 3, fell about 25 feet, Lt. Mark Watson said. The boy was taken to Central Maine Medical Center where he was treated for a broken femur, Watson said.
The child’s injuries were not life-threatening, Watson said.
Bakar’s father, Hussein Muse, told police he saw the boy hanging out the window and tried to grab him, but missed, Watson said.
He said the case was under investigation.
