LEWISTON – Florence P. Sipos Boutin, 89, of The Meadows, Greene, passed away on Monday, May 11, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Van Buren, Dec. 15, 1919, the daughter of the late John J.B. Pelletier and Lucie Bell. She was educated in Lewiston schools and was married to Alcide Boutin, who predeceased her in 1975. She was employed for many years as a fancy stitcher at Shapiro Brothers Shoe Co. and later lived for 20 years in Florida.

She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Florida, and enjoyed knitting for local charities, dancing and the company of her dog and cat.

She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Reny and husband, Robert, of Lewiston; a son, Bertrand Boutin and wife, Sherri, of Lilburn, Ga.; eight grandchildren, Brian Reny and wife, Sue, Catherine Reny and significant other, Eric Stovall, Johnathan Reny and wife, Debbie, Chris Reny and significant other, Bobbie Hill, Gail Boutin and husband, David Crust, Karen Boutin and husband, Michael Findlay, Kevin Boutin and wife, Nancy Cox, and Nicholas Boutin; 11 great-grandchildren, Torey, Kaitlyn, Taylor and Mckenna Reny, Rebecca, Rachel and Noah Crust, John Michael, Ally and Graham Findlay and Cody Cox; a sister, Yvette Byrus of Camden; several nieces and nephews; and her friends at The Meadows in Greene.
